Zebapique Remedy

 Zebapique a Trinidad old time remedy for cold and fever

The  Zebapique plant which grows naturally in Trinidad where land have been cleared by burning. In Trinidad we use Zebapique mainly for the flu, cough, or fever. The Zebapique leaves also contain a potent anti-parasitic agent called sesquiterpene dialdhyde which is effective against intestinal parasites, candida, and fungal infections, etc. It can also be used to control diabetes and could heal wounds and infections. The Zebapique is also a good insecticide.

Recipie for cough, flu and fever

The juices from about three leaves of the plant is squeezed into a table spoon, water is then added to fill the spoon with this green liquid, a pinch of salt is then added and the contents are swallowed in one shot. A teaspoon of sugar or honey is then taken to remove the bitter taste from the mouth.

This treatment have been removing the cold and relieving fevers through the ages.
