Trini Soursop Juice

A milky, tasty, tropical drink for all ages

The  soursop fruit is native  to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. It's also known as custard apple, guanabana and Brazilian paw paw.

Practitioners of herbal medicine use soursop fruit and  leaves to treat stomach ailments, fever, parasitic infections, hypertension and rheumatism. It is used as a sedative, as well.

A Traditional Taste for                 Traditional People

The white pulp of a ripe soursop is extracted and the seeds removed. The roughage from the pulp is then washed in one litre of water and extracted after the soursop juice is squeezed of it, one tin of Condensed milk and a tin of evaporated  cow’s milk is then added to the soursop water, with a dash of essence. The mixture is then served with crushed ice.
